Annual Fees for 2017

Hi all, once again it’s time for our Annual Fee collection. Fees are mainly used for the upkeep of Castlerock – cutting grass, painting walls etc.

As before, we have several payment options.

  1. You can pay in one payment of €50 using the first widget on the right. Just use your credit or debit card, no Paypal account required.
  2. You can pay in 3 installments of €16.67 each, using the second widget on the right. Payment will be taken automatically once a month at the same time every month. You need to have a Paypal account to do this, but it’s very easy to do, it’s free, and can be done while you’re setting up the installments.
  3. Similar to the previous option, you can pay in 5 installments of €10 each, using the third widget on the right.
  4. Our committee members will be going door to door shortly (be nice to them!) – If you can’t pay at the time, we’ll give you the options and you can pay when and how it suits you.

Pretty simple, right? Pay whatever way is most convenient for you. The upkeep of Castlerock is in everyone’s best interest.

Annual Fees Due for 2016

Hi all, it’s that time of the year again – our Annual Fee collection. Fees are mainly used for the upkeep of Castlerock – cutting grass, painting walls etc.

This year we have several payment options.

Fees for 2015

Happy New Year, everyone.

Fees are now due for 2015. The bulk of these fees will go towards the maintenance of Castlerock (cutting grass, maintaining green areas and painting the remainder of the public walls). We will be calling door to door during February. If you want to pay via credit card, you can use the payment widget that you see on the right. Enter your address, click the button and enter your credit card details.

Note that you can use your Paypal account if you have one, but you DO NOT need to have a Paypal account or set one up to make the payment – just choose the “Don’t have a Paypal Account” option on the payment screen and enter your details. Also note that we do not store Credit Card details on this site – all payments go through Paypal, so they are 100% safe and secure.

Autumn Cleanup and Table Quiz

Just a quick reminder about next weekend.

1. We are having our annual autumn cleanup next Saturday, November 22nd. If you’re available, meet at the bottle bank at 10am. If you can pop out (even for half an hour), it would be a great help.

2. On that same evening (Saturday 22nd), we’re having a table quiz in the village. It will be in The Shannon Inn (Hickeys). Come along any time after 8:30pm – we will be starting at 9pm SHARP. Don’t forget to book a babysitter if you need one! We’ll have prizes for the top two teams, and we’ll be raffling some spot prizes throughout the evening (including a signed Munster Jersey!)

Looking forward to seeing you there.

BBQ 2014

Thanks to everyone who came out for the barbeque  on Saturday evening. Big turnout, great food, great company… what more could you want? Watch this space for the next event, but in the meantime, enjoy some pictures from that night.

Race Night a Huge Success

On behalf of the Residents’ Committee, I just wanted to acknowledge the great success of the Race Night on Friday. It was well attended by the residents and enjoyed by all. I’d like to especially thank Jonathan O’Neill and Emerald Race Nights for a fantastic job in running the event.

Special thanks also to our fantastic sponsors for prizes and sponsorship money. Our sponsors were the Castle Oaks Hotel, Supervalu, Munster Rugby Club, Sloan’s Pharmacy, Daly’s Cross Service Station, McGills Garden Centre, The Velvet Rooms, Shannon Inn and Village Café, Maher’s Pharamacy, Tony McDermott’s Butchers, Wilmots Childcare, Sunny Lane Creche, Castle Creche, Wisps and Shannon Stores.

The winner of our main prize (the signed Munster Jersey) was Alison Warren. Congrats!

Brian, Alison and Marcus

Thanks again, and hope to see you all at the next event (we’re aiming for a BBQ later this Summer).

FYI (just to put on your radar), the Castlerock AGM is on next Tuesday night, May 27th in the Castle Oaks Hotel. It has been a massive year for Castlerock – a lot has been done towards finishing the estate. Hope to see you all there. I’ll post again towards the end of the week with more information.

A Night At The Races

Next Friday at 8pm, we’re hosting a social night for the residents of Castlerock – a Race Night! Unlike other race nights, this one will have no entrance fee and there will be no charge to name the horses or jockeys. As well as that, a massive 70% of the tote will be used for winnings (instead of the usual 50%).

Come along, have some drinks, meet some of your neighbours, place a few bets.

Bring friends and family along if you want – this isn’t limited to residents only. Please note that this is an Over 18s event only – no children allowed, so book your babysitter!

In addition to the races, we will be having spot prizes and a raffle. Prizes have been provided by businesses in the village, so by coming along, you will be supporting local business. We also have a very special prize draw for those who paid the annual residents’ fee – a signed Munster jersey!

We’ll send a reminder email later this week to those who are on the mailing list.

We’re looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones! Hope to see you on Friday.

Welcome!

Hi everyone… our previous way of posting announcements online was via Facebook, but not everyone worships at the shrine of Zuckerberg. We decided that something more traditional would appeal to the masses. The Facebook page is still going to be maintained, but we’ll use this as an extra means of updating you with all that’s happening in Castlerock. Watch this space!
